Delia's Passion for Field Hockey

Delia's passion for field hockey began in 2014. She a participant in the Rhode Island LEAD THE WAY field hockey program. This program was a year round program that provided individual and team skill development. It also provided the young athletes with opportunities to travel throughout New England. Upon entering high school, Delia was selected for CHARIHO Regional High School, division II, Varisty team, on which she continues to be a leader, and role model for other players. In addition to her passion for Field Hockey, she has also participated in competitive travel soccer, track and field, cross country, and was a gold medal winner for national competitive Irish step dancing.

Athletic C/V

Freshman

Among the only freshman selected for the Varisty Team where she played left defense. Attended the NIKE Field Hockey Summer camp through Edicott college summer of 2017.

Sophomore

Invited back to play Varisty as a center forward. Nominated "Most Valuable Offensive Player" by Coaches. Also selected by the RI Referee Association for the "RI Team Sportsmanship Award". In addition to recieving awards, this was Delia's first year to compete in the State All Star Games.

Junior

Playing for Varsity again, Delia again played center and righ forward. She was also asked to represent CHARIHO again, in State All Star Games!

Senior

Again played varsity, taking her favorite position right forward. She was selected as team captain, which was a reflection of her dedication and commitment to the sport she loves. Assited with summer month practices, and organized sports-gear drive to assist underprivledges athletes.
